A Letter from Alex & Ariel
Thank you so much for taking a peek into our life by reading a bit about us. Adoption has touched our lives already through close friends and family members, and it’s something we’ve wanted to do for several years. We hope that, as you get to know us, you’ll give us the opportunity to get to know you, as well.
With all our hearts,
Alex and Ariel
We met at church and quickly formed a close friendship. Two years later, we were married! We’ve always wanted a family, and we always planned to adopt. After over six years of infertility, we now know that it’s God’s intention for us to start our family through adoption. We’re so excited and grateful to have this opportunity!
We’ve built our lives around how we can best love the people around us, and so we’re very involved in the life of our church, our friends, and our family. We also like to have fun! We take a trip each year to somewhere new and enjoy movies and Netflix at home, and we love trying new food, and hanging out with friends.
We’re excited to include our child in all of our adventures, like taking them to the beach and visiting the many theme parks in central Florida! And we’re looking forward to introducing them to our friend’s children so they can all play together when we have them over for dinner and game nights.
She paints. She sings. She crafts. She makes everything beautiful. Ariel has had many years of classical vocal training, took piano and acting, and taught herself to play the guitar. At our church, she sings on the worship band and has written and directed numerous productions. She’s also currently in a choir and quartet scheduled to perform at Disney World.
She’s incredibly devoted to family and is a natural mother. She instinctively knows what a child needs in every situation and always keeps her cool while making kids feel totally comfortable. It’s a high priority for her to incorporate music into our child’s education, and she looks forward to doing arts and crafts with them as well as enjoying the mundane moments together each day! She will be an incredible stay-at-home mom!
Alex is the most intelligent and patient person I’ve ever met. He’s also an amazing listener and such a great teacher! He’s always there to support and love those around him. I know that our children will always have his listening ear and loving heart to lean on in life. He’s always able to laugh and help others to do the same while being a problem-solver.
Alex works out regularly and is slowly teaching himself to play the violin. He’s also a big reader and has always excelled in school. He looks forward to introducing our children to books early on by reading bedtime stories every night, and maybe joining them for music lessons when they are old enough to learn!
We have a BIG FAMILY. Ariel is one of seven, and her parents and most of her siblings live within 20 minutes of our home. Her older sister lives in town with her husband and two young children. We absolutely love spending time with our niece and nephew who sleep over for a weekend about once a month, and they are so very excited to welcome our child into the family and teach them all kinds of games (they love board games!).
Alex has an aunt, uncle, and cousins in town that we see for holidays, and we spend time with his parents regularly, since they’re only 20 minutes away! Everyone is thrilled about our adoption, and they all look forward to spoiling our child as often as they can!
We own a spacious mid-century 3 bedroom home with a large, fenced in backyard that has plenty of room for running and playing. We love that our house is big enough to entertain for family dinners, holidays, and parties. There are three beautiful community parks within walking distance of our home and we love to go on walks with our two pups, Elphie and Chester, to the park in the evening. We’re in a diverse part of town with lots of colorful friends and family that we enjoy hanging out with. We also live only 30 minutes from Disney World and 45 minutes from the beach!
We promise to celebrate your child, to love them unconditionally, and to provide every opportunity possible for your child to follow their dreams! We will give your child a diverse education and will be sure to include music, art, sports, and the Bible. We’ll expose them to other cultures so they learn to appreciate the many things that make us all unique. We, above all, promise to teach your child to value character and to love others the way they want to be loved.
We would love to keep you up-to-date with photos, letters, and visits if you wish. Whatever you choose, we want you to know that you’ll always be in our hearts and a part of our family. We look forward to meeting you. To learn more about us, please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests
We love to play and snuggle with our puppies <3
We both love traveling and exploring new places. Some of our favorites include Mexico; Savannah, GA; and Charleston, SC.
Ariel loves to throw parties and host family gatherings, and she spends lots of time with her sisters.
Alex blogs on occasion (when he’s not buried in schoolwork). He also enjoys working out.
Our faith is central to our lives. We have both been transformed by God's love for us in Jesus, and we want to bring that life-changing love to others - especially our children.
We’re also heavily involved in our church. Alex led a small group at our church for several years, before he had to take time off so he could attend seminary. He preaches every now and then at church and taught at a seminar we held. He hopes to one day go into full-time ministry. Ariel has sung on worship teams at church since she was a teenager and has participated in or produced many church productions.
Our Musical Interest
Our taste in music is all over the map! We both enjoy folk, pop, hip-hop and R&B, and Latin music. Alex also likes both rock and classical music.
Ariel sings and plays guitar and some piano, and she LOVES to dance! She can't wait for dance parties with the kids 🙂
Alex is ever-so-slowly teaching himself violin.
About Our Home
We've lived in our home for a few years now, and we have a baby room all set up and ready for a new member of the family. We have lots of entertaining space for kids to play with toys and our dogs and a big back yard with more than enough room for a swing set, sand box, and anything else we might need to make our child's life fun and exciting.
Our two dogs are Elphie and Chester. Elphie is a fawn colored Lab-Bullmastiff mix with more personality than some people! She's very gentle around and protective of our friends and family's children, and she loves to snuggle; so, we know she'll be great with our kids!
Chester is a brindle colored Boston Terrier-Pug mix who can't tell you how excited he is to meet you! He's an energetic little ball of cuddles and licks. He loves children, and children love him! Some of our out-of-town friends came to visit when their children were very young a few years ago, and their kids still talk about Chester to this day!
We live in the Sunshine State!
Florida probably has more to do for kids than adults, lol! From the local science center to the zoo to theme parks to water parks to the beach - kids in our state never lack for something fun to do, and we can't wait to do it all with a little bundle of joy!
Our neighborhood was built in the 1950s and has wide streets, sidewalks, lots of trees, three parks, and a community center with basketball courts and a pool! There's lots of fun to be had in our little community. We're fortunate to know all our immediate neighbors, and everyone is so helpful. From lending us tools to helping prep for the occasional hurricane, our neighbors have proven to be kind, friendly, and trustworthy. If you choose us, your child will grow up in a fun and safe environment.
