A Letter from Ethan & Rachel
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about us! Just the idea that you are viewing our profile makes us feel so blessed. We love Jesus, our church, and simply enjoying life with each other. We are so excited to share our faith, church, love for the outdoors, reading, our family and friends, and our exciting family traditions with your child.
About Us
We have been together for over 8 years! We met each other in high school and got married a couple years later. We have been blessed with the birth of our son, Eli, and our daughter, Rosie Mae, and are thrilled to now grow our family through adoption!
We love to play as a family and spend time with our two dogs, Twizz and Qtip. Playing outdoors is a staple in our family, and we are so excited to share it with our children!
We have lots of movie and game nights with family and friends. We are so excited to share that same love with your child as they grow.
About Rachel
Ethan says: Rachel is kind, dependable, and full of life! She loves hiking, kayaking, camping, fort building, and going to the beach. If it’s outside, she wants to be a part of it! But, she also loves to stay inside and relax with a good book, movie, or puzzle.
She enjoys life, loves fiercely, and is an amazing stay-at-home mom. She builds cardboard forts, paints, and goes outdoors, rain or shine, playing with our children. She reminds us to laugh and have fun!
Rachel is so excited to teach our children how to sing loudly, love boldly, get dirty outside, and learn about Jesus!
About Ethan
Rachel says: Ethan is devoted, loving, and full of joy. He loves reading, playing outside, playing basketball, and spending time with our kids and dogs. He encourages others, prays for them, lends a hand, and loves deeply. He loves working with others and serves as the associate pastor and youth minister at our church. He loves to read a good book, watch movies and football, tell corny dad jokes, and go on road trips.
Ethan looks forward to teaching our kids about Jesus, math, dad jokes, how to love well, and how to help those around them.
Our Kids and Family
We each come from loving and supportive families. They love to spend time with our kids and help anyway they can. Our friends are also a constant, loving presence in our lives. Our children, Eli (2021) and Rosie (2023), are such blessings in our lives. They are both so sweet and it’s amazing to watch them grow! Eli is such a great big brother to Rosie Mae telling her stories, and making sure she has her pacifier or blanket. We know he will be a great big brother, and Rosie will be a great sister, to any child God blesses us with.
Some of our favorite family/friend traditions include game nights, movie nights, lake days, playing at the park, going to the beach, camping, and more. Our family is so excited to help welcome our next child into the family!
Our Home in North Carolina
We live in a safe and friendly neighborhood, in a one-story, 3-bedroom home with a large backyard that we love to play in near a lake. Our home provides a loving space for so many people in our lives. We have playdates, Bible studies, get-togethers, game nights, and have friends and family over often. We have a blue berry patch, cozy blankets, fluffy dogs, yummy food, and a whole lot o’ love that make our home special to us. Our open and cozy home already has a nursery ready for our next child!
Our Promise
We promise to teach your child patiently, and listen to them. We look forward to taking them to as many state and national parks as we can and watching the wonderful sibling bond that will grow between our kids.
We promise your child will be taught the love of Christ through example, be fiercely loved, and supported in all that they do.
