A Letter from Jason & Sarah
Hello! Our family enjoys all outdoor activities including fishing, camping, hiking, traveling, skiing, and family game night. We are a loving, active Christian family of four thrilled to grow our family through open adoption. It would be an honor to be chosen to come along with you in this journey. We’d be so excited to meet you and get to know you! We would love to spend time with you and learn about your hopes for you and your child.
Our Story
We met in veterinary school and have been happily married for many years. We live on a farm in Northern Nevada and love the country life. Jason works on the farm, and Sarah has a dog and cat vet clinic where she works part-time.
Our Christian faith is the foundation of our lives, our marriage, and how we raise our two boys, Mason and Jackson. We love to spend time together camping, boating, fishing, hiking, and skiing. At home we enjoy cooking and eating around the table as a family, watching our boys play sports, swimming in our pool, and playing with our dogs. All of us are excited to add a child to our family! We look forward to making memories together building sandcastles at the beach, roasting smores over a campfire, driving the 4-wheeler around the farm, playing Monopoly, and more.
My Husband, Jason
Sarah says: Jason is a man of incredible integrity, generosity, and determination. He is the hardest-working person I have ever known, while also being a devoted father. He always makes time to practice baseball with the boys in the backyard or help with homework.
Jason never gives up when challenges arise and is very persistent. He is playful, lighthearted, and easy-going with a quick wit and loves to joke. Jason likes to fish, hike, coach sports, and go on road trips.
As a dad, Jason has enjoyed teaching our kids to kick a soccer ball, plant tomatoes in the garden, and catch their first fish. He models honesty and hard work, while also showing them how to enjoy the moment and have fun with life’s adventures. He’s excited to teach these things to our next child also.
My Wife, Sarah
Jason says: Sarah is a wonderful wife and mother. She has an adventurous soul and eagerly tackles any challenge put in front of her. She is into backpacking, river rafting, swimming, and reading. Sarah truly enjoys spending time with her family most of all.
My wife is one of the most compassionate and caring people I know. Sarah likes the everyday things about being a mom, like driving the kids to school, playing board games, and doing home improvement projects together. As a parent, she has enjoyed teaching our kids to swim, read stories, draw and color, and play on the jungle gym. She looks forward to teaching these things to our next child as well. She has a huge heart for family and always puts us first.
Our Home in Nevada
We live in a six-bedroom, two-story house on a farm with lots of land to play on. Our property has a huge backyard with a fenced-in pool and batting cage. Animals and farming are a big part of our family! It’s been fun raising children here where we can gather fresh eggs from the chickens, grow a garden, and bottle feed the baby goats.
The town we leave near is small enough to have a close-knit community, but large enough for all the modern conveniences. There’s a wonderful Christian school that values God and offers an excellent education. We enjoy our local church, the new movie theater, bowling alley, and all the families we have gotten to meet through our kids’ sports.
Our Sons and Family
Our two teenage sons, Mason and Jackson, are very close as brothers, do great in school, and enjoy doing most things together. Both of them are excited to have another brother or sister to show the world to. They look forward to teaching their little brother or sister how to catch a ball, make a campfire, build Legos, and play tag.
Almost all of our extended family live within a few hours of us. We love monthly visits from our parents. It’s fun to see them enjoy their grandkids, playing nerf-gun wars, taking them rafting, going to Disney World, and attending baseball games. We have lots of cousins and fun chaos when we all get together for family holidays. Our whole family is very supportive of our plans to adopt and would love to welcome another little one into the fun.
Our Promise
We promise to respect you and honor your decision to trust us to raise your child, if we’re chosen as his or her adoptive parents. We promise to tell your child how much you mean to us and how loved they are, by so many. We promise to give your child a loving, safe, and accepting family. We will always be there to encourage him or her to grow into the person that God created them to be. We promise to love them unconditionally through anything. We will teach your child to be kind, help others, and trust in God. We look forward to playing sports, doing puzzles, and reading bedtime stories. We can’t wait to walk through all the adventures of life together. If you want an open adoption, we’d love to share pictures, letters, calls, and occasional visits with you.
