A Letter from Acey & Meghan
Hello from the big blue skies of Montana! We are Acey, Meghan, and Jace. An active and fun-loving Christian family who were blessed by adoption 11 years ago. We hope you will be able to see and feel the love we have as a family and the love we will give your child.
We both grew up in small towns in Montana about 50 miles apart but didn’t meet until college. Acey played football and received his degree in Business and Meghan earned her nursing degree. We started dating our freshman year, were engaged the summer of our junior year, and were married that December. We celebrated our seventeen year anniversary in December.
Our journey to a family didn’t go as we planned. We struggled with infertility for fourteen years. Luckily God’s plan has been incredible. We felt called to grow our family through adoption in August of 2006. Our son, Jace, was born a short three months later in November. BEST DAY EVER! We are beyond excited and ready to complete our family.
As a family, we love to spend time outside fishing, camping and barbequing with friends and we are excited to include your child in that. On a typical Friday night, we can be found cheering for our high school sports teams, having family night, or at the river fishing.
Acey is a loving, kind, gentle, patient, supportive, Godly leader of our family. You can see in his eyes his love for life, and you can tell by his actions his love for Jesus. He’s one of the hardest working people I know. He works for the post office and is off by 2:30 pm every day, giving us quality time to spend together as a family. Acey likes to hunt and is always reading multiple books. He’s a wonderful husband, and watching him be a daddy makes my heart swell. The icing on the cake is his sense of humor. He has us laughing all the time. I love him more every day and feel lucky to live life with him. He will make an incredible Dad to your baby.
Meghan is the kindest person I know. She lights up a room and seems to know people wherever we go. Her past work as a pediatric nurse and current work as a photographer and part-time clinic RN fits her personality perfectly. She’s happiest when she is around kids/babies and enjoys taking photos and watching movies. Everyone loves her, yet Jace and I love her the most. We always race to get the first hug and kiss from mommy when we get home. Meghan will be an amazing mother to your child.
Jace is an amazing, kind, gentle, boisterous, hilarious, loving young man. He thrives at the Christian school he attends and participates in just about every sport offered. His favorite sports are basketball, football, and wrestling (or whatever sport he happens to be participating in at the time.) Jace is a natural born leader and it has been fun to watch that part of his personality develop. He loves going to youth group and helping with children’s church on Sunday.
I think my favorite part about Jace is his infectious laugh and the way he smiles with his whole body. He finds the good in everything. He will be an absolutely incredible big brother.
We live in a 4-bedroom home in a culturally diverse city. Our yard is fenced and Acey and Jace are always out tossing a football or baseball. The nursery is right next to our room and is all set up and ready for a baby. We live five minutes from Jace’s private Christian school and also within five minutes of multiple splash pads, parks, and walking/biking trails. There are so many opportunities for family fun right outside our front door!
Our faith is incredibly important to us. We’re very involved in our non-denominational Christian church. Acey often fills in for our pastor and is a leader of men’s ministry and a children’s church teacher. Meghan cares for the littles in the nursery and participates in our lady’s ministry. Our church family is very supportive of our adopting. We look forward to raising your child to love the Lord.
More than anything, we want you to know how much you and your child are unconditionally loved and prayed for. We promise to fill his or her life with as much joy, fun, laughter, and family as we can. We promise your child will know how much you love him or her. We promise to give your child the security of knowing a loving God. We look forward to talking with you! |More About Our Family|
Our Special Interests
As a family, we love to be outside and explore all that Montana has to offer. We love to fish on the river, camp, and shoot our bows. Acey has enjoyed coaching Jace in soccer, football, basketball, and wrestling. Acey enjoys reading as well. Every book seems to be the best book ever! Meghan is a great cheerleader, supporting both Acey and Jace in all they do. Meghan also loves to take and edit photos, her camera is never far away.
Our faith is incredibly important to us. We attend a smaller non-denominational church in town on Sunday and Bible study on Wednesday. Acey is very active as a deacon, fill in preacher, children's ministry volunteer, and men's Bible study leader. Meghan helps with the nursery and attends the women's Bible study as well. Our church family is incredibly supportive of our adoption journey. Many of our church families are also praying for you.
Our Musical Interest
Acey mostly listens to contemporary Christian radio and Country, his favorite artists right now are Lauren Daigle and Chris Stapleton. Meghan is a Country music fan. Jace likes anything with a good beat that he can play air drums or guitar too.
About Our Home
We live in a four-bedroom home in the heart of town. We are just minutes away from multiple parks, splash pads, and bike riding/hiking/walking trails. We also live only five minutes from our son's private Christian school.
We were blessed with Jace Dean through newborn adoption in 2006. He is an amazing man. He is kind, loving, active, smart, and hilarious! Jace loves being outside, he and Acey can often be found outside tossing a football or hitting a baseball. He loves to fish and has gotten quite good at fly fishing. He is going to be an incredible big brother.
We live in the beautiful" Big Sky State" of Montana
Montana is amazing. Both Acey and Meghan grew up exploring Northern Montana outdoors. Montana offers access to rivers, lakes, mountains, camping, star gazing, boating, hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, skiing, snowshoeing, and much much more right out our front door. Montana also has four seasons which makes for year round fun.
Acey comes from a close family. He has an older sister and a younger brother. His Mom/Stepfather, Dad/Stepmother, sister, two nephews and one niece all live about three hours north of us. His brother and niece live in the same town we do.
Meghan also comes from a very close family. Her Mom and Dad live three hours East of where we live, and we see them often. Her younger sister, brother in law, and niece live in Alaska. We facetime with them just about every day.
