A Letter from Dan & Trish
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us better.
We have been together for a little over 13 years and have been married for almost 9 years. We met at work and believe one of our strengths is our ability to balance each other with any trials life brings our way. Despite not being able to have children of our own due to infertility, we believe that it has made us a stronger couple and will make us even better parents. We look forward to learning more about you!
Together, we enjoy camping, hiking, and spending time down by the lake. We look forward to sharing with your child our love of nature, teaching them how to set up their own tent, and how to start a campfire – safely, of course! We love exploring new places and are excited to take your child with us on road trips and different adventures.
We also enjoy spending time together with friends and family where we typically cook on the grill and sit around the fire pit. At times this has also included a trip to the local creamery for some homemade ice cream! We look forward to including your child as a part of our family.
Dan is patient, kind and most importantly, he makes me laugh. I still have notes from him when we first started dating, one of which was a drawing on a napkin that he left on my car! He is not afraid to be silly and is quite the cook! He takes his cooking seriously- be it on the stovetop, the grill, or the campfire. He even makes his own hot sauce as a mini side gig. Dan is looking forward to teaching your child how to cook and, just as he has taught me, to not take life too seriously- enjoy playtime.
Trish enjoys reading, hiking, and yoga. I can already picture her sitting with your child, flipping through his or her favorite book with them and reading every word on the page. She is supportive, kind and always is finding the silver lining in any situation. Trish is the friend that will figure out a difficult problem, the boss that sees your potential, and the person that listens without judgment. I continue to be in awe of her inner strength, intelligence, and giving nurturing heart.
We live in a semi-rural area where we are close enough to enjoy the culture and arts of the city. We live in a single-family home, part of a private lake community with a beautiful view of the lake and the small quiet beach area. All summer long there are events celebrating each holiday, and when there is not, the community still gets together to enjoy all the lake has to offer.
Our home has three bedrooms, and plenty of space and room to grow our family. We look forward to fishing and canoeing on the lake during the summer, enjoying the view and the fire-pit in the spring and fall, and in the winter keeping warm inside by the fireplace and watching the ice-fishermen out on the frozen lake.
We travel to Pennsylvania and New York to see our families for every holiday, catch up with old friends and cousins. Christmas is our favorite holiday as we host every other year at our house. Both of our parents and siblings come with their fur babies to join in the celebration. Dan has a younger sister and Trish has a younger brother, sister-in-law and new nephew. We enjoy having family stay at our house and plan a couple of days of food and festivities, including stopping by the local farms, seeing the gardens and spending time in the city.
Bailey is our pug and was a gift from Dan to Trish the first Christmas we spent together. He is 13 years old and is still quite the puppy at heart and has such a loving spirit.
We promise to offer a positive, adventurous, supportive and loving environment for your child to grow up in. We will provide them with all that they need to grow happy and healthy. We would like for you to be a part of your child’s life, as well as ours. We promise to maintain contact with you to whatever extent you are comfortable and to provide our child with every opportunity possible, so they can become their best self.

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests
We enjoy traveling and having new and different experiences in places that we have never been. Even if we do not go overseas, we enjoy road trips with a nice combination of planned and unplanned activities. There is rarely a trip where we do not learn more about the history of our country and other groups of people. We frequently will go on numerous camping trips throughout the year, sometimes trying different sites. We value this time together or with friends. The trips vary from including hiking and relaxation over the fire to figuring out how to make it through the rain or other inclement weather that arises. Either way, we leave with some good camping stories and enjoyable time.
Our Musical Interests
We enjoy a variety of music that goes across the spectrum, from listening to the symphony by attending a Billy Joel and Elton John concert. We also enjoyed seeing other lesser-known bands and listening to dance music, the 80’s and the 90’s as well.
