A Letter from Joe & Kara
Thank you for viewing our profile and taking the time to get to know us. We’re a family oriented couple that is looking forward to becoming first-time parents and sharing our home, our family and above all, our love, with our first child. We believe that adoption is God’s path for us and are very excited to tell you about ourselves.
It may sound corny, but we are truly soulmates. A lot of our friends and family say we are perfect for each other because our personalities are so similar. We met in high school and have been together for 13 years and just celebrated our 5-year anniversary. We grew up and live in Northeastern Wisconsin with all our family and friends close by.
We enjoy cooking together, watching our beloved Green Bay Packers, going to musicals, doing home improvement projects, and spending time with family & friends. We are looking forward to taking our child to church on Sundays, playing catch with the football, watching him or her enjoy their first birthday cake, and reading them bedtime stories.
Kara is a thoughtful, loving and selfless person who has a great sense of humor. She loves to read and can often be found curled up in a cozy chair reading a good book with one of our two cats on her lap. Kara loves to cook and is constantly searching for new recipes that she can try out. She also has a degree in Interior Design and that comes in handy when we are doing home improvement projects. When she’s not at home cooking or reading, Kara works as a loan processor for a local credit union. She is a hardworking, generous and caring person who will no doubt be a great mother.
Joe is a very kind, patient and funny man. He is an outdoorsy person who loves golf, football, baseball, fishing, and hunting. His mom ran an in-home daycare when he was growing up and he has such a way with kids, they just love him. Joe is also very hard-working, both at his job and in doing projects around the house. He went to college for Architectural Engineering and works for a company that does commercial heating and air conditioning. His faith is very important to him and is the basis for his kind, caring, generous spirit. I have no doubt that he will be an amazing father and I look forward to raising a child with such a wonderful partner.
Our home is in a quiet neighborhood, with a large backyard and plenty of room to run around. We are located within walking distance of great schools and parks as well as a public nature preserve. We have two cats named Fred and Bruce that are great with kids and love when our nephews come to play with them.
Family is the most important part of our lives. We both have large, close families that are very supportive of us and our decision to adopt. Kara’s mom and two brothers all live within an hour of us as well as Joe’s dad and two brothers. Along with the immediate family, we have many more aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins that can’t wait to welcome another child to the family. One of the great things about our family is that we live close to each other, so your baby will always have a lot of love in their life.
All of our favorite traditions include spending time with our family and friends. Whether it’s our annual trip to a lake in northern Wisconsin with Joe’s family, getting together for spring fishing with Kara’s family or the holiday road trips, we have many traditions that we cherish. Our dream is that your child will be a part of these traditions and that we will make new ones together.
We promise to love your child unconditionally and raise them in a stable, happy home. We promise to provide a Christian foundation for their life and teach them about God’s love and forgiveness. Our family looks forward to adding your child to our traditions and promises that their life will always be filled with warmth and laughter. We promise to be there for all the big and small moments, giving encouragement and advice. Above all, we promise to provide a safe and loving home for them.

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests
We enjoy spending time at home, watching movies or doing DIY projects. We both love to cook and try new recipes. Joe's favorite thing to make is cheesecake, his specialties are white chocolate raspberry and caramel apple. Kara's specialties are mac and cheese, grilled cheese, and barbecued pork. We also love weekend getaways to Upper Michigan, and visiting friends in Milwaukee and Minnesota. Every summer, we spend a week on a lake in Northern Wisconsin with Joe's family. It is one of our favorite weeks of the year and we would love to include a new baby in this tradition.
We are a Christian couple and attend church regularly. We were both raised in religious homes and want to raise our child in a strong Christian home, with prayers before meals and at bedtime. Faith has gotten us through some very difficult times in our lives and we want to give our child that same foundation to rely on.
About Our Home
We live in a comfortable three bedroom ranch with an open floor plan. Our back yard has a nice deck and a patio with a fire pit. There is plenty of privacy and room to play.

Why we want to be parents...
We are ready for the next step in our lives. We have been together for 13 years and feel we are at a place, both spiritually and financially, to be parents. As a father, Joe is looking forward to teaching our child how to throw a ball, how to catch a fish, taking them hunting and watching them smash their first birthday cake. Kara can't wait to watch them open their first Christmas present, hang their artwork on the fridge, take them to church on Sunday, and read to them before bed.
